D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities)

CLIFTON, NJ (MARCH 27, 2026) - D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities) the pioneer of the groundbreaking Healing Art of Drum Therapy® techniques, today announced the addition of new programs and intervention curriculums throughout its North American division.


Drum Party®, developed by founder/certified Drum Therapist Stephanie Spreeman, has been added to the D.A.D. special needs intervention curriculum. It uses numerous percussion instruments in individual and group settings. The program creates a supportive environment for relaxation, self-expression, emotional connection, and healing.


The new curriculum is in addition to the D.A.D. Program's Global reach of psychologists, special needs therapists, teachers, drum instructors, mental health facilities, and school systems in over 15 countries.


The latest additions of Drum Party and Drum Therapy program services have been implemented by D.A.D. Program Founder/CEO, Pat Gesualdo, and Certified Drum Therapist/Drum Party® Founder Stephanie Spreeman at the following locations:


* New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities: Providing case management and Drum Therapy® Intervention programs.

* Brain Injury Services Fredericksburg VA Day Program: Included as part of the Brain Health Initiative. KJD Resolutions donated Drum Therapy® Kits to their survivors.

* The Veterans PTSD Initiative: Providing Drum Therapy® intervention programs to help wounded veterans.

* The Phoenix Center for Innovative Learning and Yet Stand Inc: Helping people recover from Brain Trauma. Topside Federal Credit Union donated 30 mini Drum Therapy® Kits.

* Indian Acres of Thornburg: Providing open community drumming.

* Chancellors Village: Providing Drum Therapy® for Elder Outreach Program.

* Alice C. Tyler Village: Providing Drum Therapy® Youth Outreach Program.

* Shenandoah Crossing Resort: Providing group/individual Drum Therapy® programs.


ABOUT THE D.A.D. PROGRAM

D.A.D. (Drums and Disabilities) / Drum Party is a 501(C)(3) GuideStar Platinum rated non-profit organization. D.A.D. was founded by celebrated drum virtuoso Pat Gesualdo. D.A.D. was launched in New York and New Jersey in 2004.


Psychologists, Neuroscientists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Behavioral Therapists, and Special Education Teachers use D.A.D. in over 15 countries to help special needs children, adults, and wounded veterans to develop physical and cognitive development.


Gesualdo's research has been published by the NIH (National Institutes of Health) and various journals. He also wrote the first law in the United States to expand disability rights to special needs population. The U.S. Department of State has brough Gesualdo throughout the world to help disabled children. The United States Department of Defense has called on Gesualdo to train U.S. military mental health directors in the D.A.D. program to help wounded troops. Numerous State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies, and State Child Protective Agencies also partner with Gesualdo and D.A.D. to help serve special needs children and their families.
