Drum Party July Updates: Exciting Events, New Partnerships & Growing Impact

It has been a busy and exciting season for Drum Party, and I wanted to share some wonderful updates with all of you. Thank you for your continued support as we expand our reach and create more opportunities to bring connection, wellness, and joy through rhythm.

Brain Health Presentation at the Disability Resource Center for the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) Rappahannock Chapter.

August 2 – Back-to-School Community Event | 12:00–4:00 PM

We're thrilled to be partnering with the nonprofit Unmasked Inc. for their annual Back-to-School Community Event.

August 15 – Look for a Drum Party press release in local newspapers highlighting our continued growth and community impact.

Drum Party Podcast

I recently had the opportunity to be a guest on a podcast where I shared the story behind Drum Party, our mission, and the positive impact rhythm-based experiences are having throughout our community. If you haven't had a chance to listen yet, I encourage you to check it out!

Building Community Partnerships

I'm excited to share that Deb and I have joined the North Stafford Rotary Club! We are currently in discussions about presenting Drum Party to Rotary members and participating in a special Zoom session designed specifically for nonprofit organizations. We're looking forward to these opportunities and will keep everyone updated as plans develop.

Continuing Education

Professional growth is an important part of ensuring I can best serve our community. I'm proud to share that I recently completed my Neurodiversity Coaching Certification and have also earned my Grief Services Provider Certification.

These certifications will be thoughtfully integrated into all aspects of Drum Party, allowing us to better support individuals, families, and communities with greater understanding, compassion, and evidence-informed practices.
